How Raising an Empathetic Child Can Safeguard Teens & Tweens from Negative Behaviors: A "Hallways" Forum
Thursday, April 5th 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm The Bank Street Parents Association invites you to join us in the Auditorium on Thursday, April 5th, at 6:30 pm, for a forum on the benefits of raising empathetic tweens and teens. This workshop will provide parents and guardians with information and tools to encourage ongoing, age appropriate discussions intended to increase children's ability to demonstrate empathy and stand up for themselves and others. We will discuss various situations that occur both online and in person, and offer strategies for how teens can safely interrupt and intervene. The dialogue will be led by facilitators from Hallways, an organization that works closely with New York City independent schools to meet the social and emotional needs of independent school students and provide them with tools to overcome challenges and live healthier lives. This is a free event open to all adults in the Bank Street community. Please RSVP here. Childcare (including pizza) for Bank Street students in the 4/5s and up may be arranged in advance by emailing Joanna Sly.
